Couponing for Animals
There are countless ways to help animals, from organizing protests to starting an animal rights group at school.
Even couponing can help animals. Yes, you read that right—couponing!
Fourteen-year-old Street Teamer Monica Williford uses that unique hobby to make a huge difference for dogs and cats in her community. Monica gathers every single coupon for cat food, dog food, toys, and other companion-animal supplies that she can; purchases the products (or sometimes even gets them for free!); and donates them to her local animal shelter.
Instead of asking for presents at your party, ask for pet supplies to donate!
How freaking awesome is that?! Want to join Monica in helping animals?
And that’s not the only thing that Monica does to help animals! This animal-saving extreme couponer also volunteers at the animal shelter every chance she gets and makes crafts (such as super-cute candles) to raise money for animals.
It’s no surprise that peta2 is super-excited to give Monica a Star Street Teamer Award for the impressive work that she does for animals!
Check out what Monica has to say about how YOU can help animals:
Anyone can help their shelter. If you can’t afford to buy supplies, you can volunteer, foster an animal until he or she gets adopted, raise money or supplies at school or where you work. Instead of asking for presents at your party, ask for pet supplies to donate!
Way to go, Monica!
