You may not have thought about it before, but many of the accessories that help keep us warm through the winter months are often made of sheep’s wool. Now, you might be thinking that sheep need to be sheared in order to keep their fleece from growing out of control or that shearing is just a hair cut and doesn’t hurt, but that’s simply not true. Wearing wool contributes to cruelty to animals.
No need to fret though, because you can still keep your hands, feet, and head toasty without contributing to animal suffering! Tons of stores sell knitted accessories made of cruelty-free yarns, such as acrylic.
