When we last spoke with One Tree Hill’s lovely Daniella Alonso, she told us that she’d do anything she could to help animals, so we took her at her word and asked her to star in our newest anti-fur public service announcement (PSA). Lucky for us and fur-bearing animals everywhere that she meant it—she’ll soon be seen gracing the pages of magazines everywhere with bunny pal Pez in tow (thanks to the wonders of Photoshop) in peta2’s “She’s not a collar, jacket, cuff, or pair of earmuffs” print PSA.
Daniella is just one of a growing number of conscientious celebrities—like Gisele Bündchen, P!nk, Casey Affleck, Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicholas Gonzalez, Juliet Lewis, Stella McCartney, Pamela Anderson, Charlize Theron, Gwyneth Paltrow, Alicia Silverstone, and Simple Plan—who would never wear fur or fur trim and are lending their voices and faces to help spread the word about the horrors of the fur industry.

Even just a little bit of fur trim is linked to an enormous amount of suffering. Rabbits, foxes, minks, and other animals raised for their fur spend their entire miserable lives in filthy, cramped cages without shelter from the elements. They go crazy from confinement and never receive veterinary care for any diseases or injuries they suffer, and they all die horrible deaths at the hands of the fur farmers, who drown them, electrocute them, or break their necks—and many of them are skinned alive. Millions of wild animals suffer terribly after being caught in steel-jaw traps, snares, or underwater traps.
You can make a difference. Please don’t wear fur or fur trim. Bunnies and other furry animals need your help, so spread the word and tell your friends to do the same.
