The members of Anti-Flag are awesome for three big reasons: They put on an amazing live show, they are hilarious smartasses, and they are all really passionate and intelligent. Those things should be enough to tell you that all four of these guys totally support animal rights.

#2 helps PETA2 educate some concertgoers.

Justin’s parents actually opened up the first vegetarian restaurant in Pittsburgh, and three of the four guys in Anti-Flag are vegetarians. In line with their “don’t just sit there, do something!” ethic, these guys link to peta2.com on their Web site, include PETA’s information in their CD booklets, and have our Street Teamers table all their showsall in an effort to get the word out. Heck, that’s why they did a video interview with us ... well, that and because we’re just so “hip!”

So why do Justin, Pat, Chris, and #2 think that animal rights is so important? Well, Justin just puts himself in animals’ shoes. As he puts it, he wouldn’t want to be crammed into a truck or hung upside-down by his legs or have his throat slit while he was still alive. Pat believes that people who treat animals cruelly probably treat people cruelly, too. And they all agree that animals should be free to live out their full lives, just like people are. As #2 puts it, “Don’t eat the chickens; they just wanna mosh!”
