If you were thinking, "I can't believe that Burberry still uses real fur—talk about a bunch of heartless b*****s," then you'd be in great company, because (deep breath) Jack Penate, Jamie T, The Maccabees, The Courteneers, The Rakes, Super Furry Animals, Los Campesinos!, Art Brut, Friendly Fires, Good Shoes, Hadouken!, Air Traffic, and The Wombats have all signed peta2's petition urging Burberry to ditch the cruelty and remove fur from its collections.
These guys know that on fur farms, animals are killed by poisoning, anal electrocution, and gassing. These cruel methods are ineffective, and animals often wake up while they're being skinned.
Dan of The Wombats said, "There is no excuse for making money from the suffering of animals. Burberry need to stop supporting this violent industry."
Now, I'm sure you've noticed a pattern emerging here. The crème de la crème of the British music crop are with peta2 on the animals' side, and in the Burberry corner, we have, umm … oh, what's his name? You know, that old bloke from "Poxy Music" or "Roxy Music" or whatever and his fox-hunting son.
But enough boasting. Check out a full list of the bands below and follow their lead by signing our online petition urging Burberry to drop fur from its catwalks and racks permanently!
