When it's hot outside, your windows are down, and your car is full of your friends, there's nothing quite like a good sing-along to your favorite songs. As soon as the warmer months hit my calendar, my hardcore records take the backseat to upbeat, stage-dive-inducing pop-punk like New Found Glory, Lifetime, and most recently, A Day to Remember's Homesick.
Since the last time we spoke with the boys, A Day to Remember has been taking the Billboard charts by storm. They also made it onto Alternative Press' coveted "Most Anticipated Albums of 2009" list, were nominated for Kerrang! Magazine's Best International Newcomer Award, and are set to play the Vans Warped Tour again. With lyrics like "mark my words, we're taking over the world" from "A Shot in the Dark" on 2007's For Those Who Have Heart, you should now know A Day to Remember isn't kidding.
In between taking both the charts and magazines by storm, the boys found some time to meet up with us again to talk about their new album and our favorite subject, animal rights. A Day to Remember are no animal rights newbies—when we first interviewed A Day to Remember for peta2, Tom, Neil, and Alex spoke out harshly against the annual Canadian seal slaughter and KFC. Now, almost two years later, Tom was willing to talk about his recent switch to a vegetarian diet and the subject that really gets him riled up—dogfighting.
Here's Tom and Neil in their own words:

If you also like what you heard, make sure you check the guys out on the VANS Warped Tour this summer (we'll be on the whole tour too!), and don't forget to follow Tom's lead and take our Pledge to Be Veg. Switching to a vegetarian diet improves your health, reduces greenhouse-gas emissions (that's saving the planet, people!), saves the lives of animals, and helps you get more air on those stage dives. OK, I'm not sure about the last one—but it works for me!
