Chris From Death Cab for Cutie

Strong and silent. Two ace adjectives to describe noted indie producer, multitalented Death Cab for Cutie guitarist, and longtime vegetarian Chris Walla and a public service announcement (PSA) that he teamed up with peta2 to create.

The PSA, which Chris designed himself, shows him standing behind a heaping plate of colorful vegetables next to the tagline "Add Some Color to Your Life—Try Vegetarianism!" Chris chose the theme for the ad-inspired by the strong, silent classic 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey (known more for its spectacular imagery than its dialogue)—in which he's dressed in a white shirt and white tie against a stark white background.
