Just what does ABC stand for, you may ask? Animal Birth Control, of course! PETA's new ABC campaign tackles the issue of companion animal overpopulation and urges people to do their part by taking simple steps to help end this crisis. Each year, nearly 4 million dogs and cats are killed in animal shelters across the U.S. simply because there are not enough good homes for them. Outraged? You should be.

Dita definitely knows her ABCs and just how important animal birth control is. In her new ad, she urges her fans to spay or neuter their companion animals. If everyone did so, and also refused to buy animals from breeders and pet stores, we might one day see an end to the companion animal overpopulation crisis.
