What could be a better Valentine’s Day gift than Goldfinger’s brand-spanking-new album, Disconnection Notice? Everyone here at PETA2 loves Goldfinger, especially Goldfinger’s fantastic frontman, John Feldmann. Why? We’ve got our reasons:
• He went vegan because of the film Babe (awww!), and he rescues lobsters!
• He stands up for chickens and has done loads of demos against KFC.
• He writes kick-ass songs that take aim at animal abusers like Ted Nugent!
• Remember reason number 1, about Babe? John narrated a video of an undercover exposé of a pig factory farm. Go John!
• He hands out autographed pro-veggie literature after every single show.
• He donated a song called “Free Me” to go alongside a PETA video showing the horrors of factory farms.
• He recorded a wicked radio PSA that was broadcast on college radio stations all across the U.S.
• He’s a supermodel (well, maybe not, but he looks great in a PETA2 T-shirt)!
If you still don’t have enough reasons to want to give John a great big hug, here’s one more: We have copies of Disconnection Notice to give to you! Just fill out the form at the bottom of this page to enter, and we’ll draw winners on March 7, 2005. But even if you don’t win, don’t despair! The CD will officially be released on February 15, 2005.
And now that Disconnection Notice is done and out the door, Goldfinger is ready to hit the road with theSTART. Don’t forget to hang around after the show to get your very own vegetarian starter kit, signed by John. Or if you’d rather join in on the fun and help others go veg, sign up to be part of our PETA2 Street Team to earn free stuff and maybe even a chance to table at future shows.
