Cows are cool. We know that. In fact, anyone who’s ever met a cow knows that they are sweet, considerate animals who build lifelong bonds with other cows. That’s why Chris Brandt from Halifax doesn’t understand why anyone would treat them cruelly.
Unfortunately, for cows who live on factory farms, where most meat comes from, cruelty is a way of life. They are forced to live in absurdly cramped conditions and undergo painful procedures, often without anesthetics, before they are hauled away to the slaughterhouse, where they endure even more torture and pain.
