As we all know by now, Burberry is worn by people who hang around in car parks and drink cider all day. It’s not big, and it’s not clever – Burberry is not for stylish young men like The Holloways, that’s for sure. And no amount of “It’s OK – we’re above all that chav stuff now” marketing can change that, Burberry, so give it up!
Just recently, peta2 UK had the pleasure of bumping into half of The Holloways, the lovely Bryn and Alfie. (We’re not sure where the other two were – probably boozing it up like bloody rock stars!) When we let Bryn and Alfie know that Burberry are still using real fur and therefore supporting an industry that drowns, bludgeons and electrocutes animals to death, they were naturally horrified and put pen to paper on a petition urging Burberry to end their use of real fur – something that truly talented designers like Stella McCartney, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren have already done.
The Holloways are against cruelty to animals and are urging their fans to sign the petition below to let Burberry know that there is no excuse to rip the fur off an animal’s back. You even get to sign the petition using your mouse like a pen. Exciting! Sign away!
