Juliette and the Licks


She may still have a reputation for being a “natural born killer,” but according to Juliette Lewis and her band, the Licks, KFC’s the one with a heart of stone and blood on its hands. Those may sound like fighting words, but Juliette isn’t just talking trash. She sent David Novak, the CEO of KFC parent company Yum! Brands, a letter and let him know exactly what she thinks of big, greedy corporations like KFC that makes millions off torturing chickens and refuses to spare a couple of bucks to make the birds’ short lives a little less miserable.

Juliette, her drummer Patti Schemel (former drummer for Hole), and her guitarist Todd Morse (of H2O fame) aren’t only mouthing off about KFC’s abusive practices. At the Warped Tour, they took a break from rocking out to talk to PETA2 about factory farming, vegetarianism, cruelty-free products, dissection, puppy mills, and why they’ll never wear fur.
