Solid State Records outfit MyChildren MyBride (MCMB) has become a force to be reckoned with on the metal scene. In just three short years since the release of their debut album, Unbreakable, MCMB has become one of the most exciting new acts in metal. The band solidified itself as more than just a flash in the pan with the release of its sophomore album, Lost Boy. While on tour with The Chariot and Haste the Day, peta2 caught up with MCMB to get firsthand advice from the band's vegan bassist, Joe Lengson, about going flesh-free and getting active for animals.
Like so many others, Joe first became aware of peta2 on the Vans Warped Tour. The peta2 crew is out there every summer, day in and day out, raising awareness about animal rights, interacting with concertgoers face-to-face, and providing them with information so that they can make educated decisions about the companies they support, the clothes they wear, and the food they eat. Joe takes that activism one step further by using his influence to reach out to MCMB fans about the animal rights issues that are important to him–issues such as factory farming, the fur industry, the importance of being informed and getting involved, and the message that if you wouldn't eat your dog, then you shouldn't eat a pig.
Be a positive influence to the people in your life–and save more than 100 animals every year in the process–by taking our pledge to go vegan.
