You might not be down with everything that Midtown is, but the truth is, you should be. They like unicorns—proof that they know what’s up. More importantly, Robert, Tyler, Gabe, and Heath are all ardent vegetarians and animal rights supporters. Copy them, and you’ll be one step closer to perfection. They hung with us back in the early days, when PETA2 was just kicking, and they’ve continued to do their share for the animal rights movement.
After interviewing Midtown and tabling for them on numerous occasions, we finally had the chance to dance with them backstage. From there, our bond only grew deeper, but it wasn’t until the group sent us their own video creation that we knew our love was forever. When they offered us a rare acoustic recording for our compilation CD, Liberation: Songs to Benefit PETA, we finally decided that these guys deserved to star in the next PETA2 vegetarian ad.
So, while it might be true that Midtown spends too much time getting smashed, at least they’ve made the effort to call it quits when it comes to eating animals. Now it’s your turn to find out just how easy it is to eat vegetarian. If a band that tours during the better part of the year—every year—can do it, so can you.
