Hailed as one of the most celebrated alternative hip-hop groups to come out of the L.A. underground circuit in the early 90s, The Pharcyde are still on the scene. Despite the loss of two of the four original founding members over the years, remaining members Imani Wilcox and Romye “Booty Brown” Robinson are proving that they’re in it for the long haul. Returning to their whimsical roots as lyrical pranksters, The Pharcyde are keeping things fun and keeping their loyal fans happy.
When we ran into Imani at the Holiday Havoc/Rock the Bells festival, he was very enthusiastic (to say the least) to tell us exactly what he thought about eating meat and what he had for lunch. A vegetarian for 10 years, Imani knows that not eating animals is one of the best things he can do for his health, the planet, and animals, too.
Did you know that eating meat and dairy products is directly linked to cancer, heart disease, and strokes? Or that animal products are filled with hormones, antibiotics, cholesterol, saturated fat, pus, and feces—yeah, you read that right—pus and feces. Why are you putting that stuff in your body? Thinking about making the switch to an animal-free diet right about now? Give it a shot; you have nothing to lose and so much to gain. Click on the Veg Pledge button below to get started, and before you know it you’ll be as happy as Imani.
