Devoted to underground music and the hardcore scene, Rise Against has also remained committed to furthering positive ideas through punk music. According to vocalist Tim, "Rise Against is very serious. We’re not overtly political, but we’re about emotion and personal politics." Fortunately for animals, all four members of Rise Against have turned some of that emotion and personal politicking into a vegetarian diet—and told us why.

Influenced by old-school punk like Bad Religion, Minor Threat, and Bad Brains, Rise Against is a melodic hardcore group from Chicago. After starting out as 88 Fingers Louie, a seminal hardcore heavy that ignited the Chicago underground scene, Rise Against has already made its mark and won’t be disappearing anytime soon.

Revolutions Per Minute, Rise Against’s highly anticipated follow-up release on Fat Wreck Chords, has brought critics to their knees, so be sure to check it out.
