Our fond friends Silverstein are getting ready for a tour across the U.S. and the U.K. to promote their new album Discovering the Waterfront (out August 16 on Victory Records), but despite their busy schedule, they took some time to meet up with peta2 to talk about going vegetarian and to hook you up with some free gear. Super-thoughtful as always, Shane told us, “It was always weird for me that people ate animals. I’d go to McDonald’s with my family and I’d be like, ‘This is an animal.’” Paul added, “Eventually you grow up, and you become a teenager and you have friends like in the music scene that talk about being vegetarian, and you realize you don’t have to eat meat.”
But now let’s get down to this “free” business.
... As a reward for all your hard work for animals, Silverstein
have given us the goods for one grand-prize winner to receive an
autographed copy of Silverstein’s Discovering
the Waterfront test-press vinyl,
plus a Silverstein skate deck and a messenger bag filled with a hoodie, tee, CD, posters, and stickers. Two
runners-up will receive a messenger bag loaded up with a hoodie, tee, CD, posters,
and stickers. So what are you waiting for? Give us your info at the bottom of
this page by October 31, 2005,
for a chance to win. Don’t
worry—we won’t share it with anyone!
