Your allergies have been acting up, people are crowding the streets drinking frozen coffee drinks, and it isn’t dark outside by 4 p.m. No, it isn’t a sign of the apocalypse—it’s just April, which means a new edition of “Things peta2 Loves”!
April 1 is April Fools’ Day, so we at peta2 would like to formally announce that we are switching our focus to unicorns only. Save the unicorns!
If your shoes are covered in holes after the winter thaw like ours, then it might be time for some new ones. We suggest Saucony’s new vegan shoes, which even come with a “de-calf” label.
Easter is in April this year, so (for the sake of the chicks) we suggest that rather than practicing that archaic tradition of dying eggs, you send out our lovely Easter e-cards instead.
Remember those munchkins from Dunkin’ Donuts? Did it make you sad to find out that they were fried in animal fat? We feel ya. But don’t worry! You can make your own vegan mini doughnuts!
We at peta2 think of chicks pretty much year-round, not only at Easter time. If you do, too, you will certainly appreciate the “Chicken Britty” Bag as much as we do. P.S. She donates $1 from the sale of every bag to PETA, so hit it up!
Clif Bar, otherwise known as a vegan’s 7-Eleven salvation, has now added the new ZBaR to its ranks. With such mouthwatering flavors as chocolate chip, chocolate brownie, and peanut butter, I bet you want to quit reading this and buy one right now!
Earth Day is April 22, so let everybody (including Al Gore) know that the best thing you can do to help the Earth is become a vegetarian.
Due out April 10, Bright Eyes’ new album, Cassadaga, promises to satisfy both the sensitive, journal-writing, dye-your-hair-black crowd and the country-singin’ hoedown crowd alike.
“Cute with Chris” is a video blog after our own heart. Not only does Chris feature a “Cute Down,” he also talks about homeless animals available for adoption in the L.A. area.
At Crafters for Critters, you can get a hip new owl necklace made by an independent crafter and support various animal rescue organizations at the same time. So, what’s not to like?
Now it is your turn to let us know what you love in the month of April. And be honest, because we won’t judge you (unless you like something dorky like Matlock).
All fields in bold are mandatory.
Heads up: By signing up here and giving us your details, we’re taking that as acknowledgment that you’ve read and agreed to our privacy policy.
