The Sleeping's Tour Bus Interview

by Nicole Nuss

The SleepingOne of my absolute favorite people to work with is the adorable Doug Robinson from everyone's favorite post-hardcore band, The Sleeping. Doug's always game for doing whatever he can to help animals, including saving more than 100 of them every single year, simply by not eating them!

Many of you animal-loving sweethearts may have recently seen The Sleeping, along with other peta2 friends All Time Low, make it into the top 12 in MTV's Dew Circuit Breakout competition. Or you might have seen them out on tour with other peta2 fave Bayside. Seriously, these guys never take a break. It's insane!

The last time The Sleeping rolled through town, Doug gave me a Cribs-esque tour of the band's bus, including their ultra-swag lounge, their bunks, and the inside of their fridge, which was stacked full of Doug's veggie faves of course! Doug also filled me in on his current vegetable of choice, which, believe it or not, is no longer celery.

Watch the video, because I know you don't want to miss it … now, do ya?!

By not eating animals, Doug doesn't support abuses of cows and chickens, such as being hung upside-down and having their throats slit while they're still conscious, or abuses of pigs, including having their teeth cut off without the use of painkillers.

Don't you want to be able to say that you don't contribute to these horrible abuses either? All you have to do is take our Veg Pledge below. I know you want to—I just know it!
