Fave bands: My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, Rise Against, and Crass
About me: I grew up in a small town in Texas. I only live for three things in life: 3-D movies, Dr. Pepper (which is my life-juice), and animal rights. I have been coined "the biggest junk food vegan in the world." I hate vegetables and salads. I love all mock meats and anything deep-fried. I travel the country nonstop following the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus to document the abuse and neglect that Ringling subjects the elephants to on a daily basis. I am also a “star” of the documentary called Wake Up Screaming—so please check it out, and let me know what you think of it.
I like: Dr. Pepper and 3-D movies
I hate: All drinks that are not Dr. Pepper and all movies that are not in 3-D, except the movie Wake Up Screaming
Why you went veg: Growing up on a farm in Texas, I got to see firsthand how animals are treated and slaughtered for food. I knew that I could not support the torture and abuse of animals, so I went vegan. It was the best thing I have ever done.
Best place to get vegan French toast? Pick Me Up, in Chicago, is the best place to hang out and eat vegan French toast, pie, and root beer floats!
Personal hero? Everyone who takes the time to stand up for what they believe in. So visit Circuses.com and become my hero!
Your favorite 3-D move: The original House of Wax, with Vincent Price, because it was the first 3-D movie I had ever seen. I was in the fifth grade, and 7-Eleven had this promotional thing going on where if you bought a Big Gulp, you would get a free pair of 3-D glasses. Then later in the week at midnight, they would play 3-D movies on channel 21. It was so awesome!
