I became a vegetarian leaning vegan three years ago, and a strict vegan one year ago. While I don't fit perfectly into one ideology, I lean heavily towards the abolitionist.

Good to hear that you are now vegetarian! If you need advice going vegan feel free to message me.

It may depend on what area you reside in, but I’ve never had much of a problem finding a vegetarian, if not vegan, option in a restaurant. Most of the time I look up the menu of the place I am planning to visit with my friends/family and finding out…[Read more]

I recently watched PETA spokesman Andrew Butler debate NRA Vice President Wayne LaPierre, and at one point they touch upon religion and animal rights. This may be something you find interesting, although Wayne sounds like an internet troll throughout the entire debate. There are definitely places in religious texts that can be used to support an…[Read more]

I see PETA as an organization with its heart truly in the right place, but one that has some flaws that really can damage the animal rights movement. I would say the biggest factor that holds me back from supporting PETA is some of their ridiculous campaigns and stunts. Things like “State of The Union Undress” and “Got Autism?” are an…[Read more]

I agree with everything that you have said here. PETA’s heart is in the right place, but the methods they use sometimes just shoot themselves in the foot. It makes it very easy for people to dismiss the animal rights cause when they can just point out the wildly outrageous campaigns that PETA has been involved in. State of The Union Undress? What…[Read more]

The philosophy you seem to be speaking of is animal welfare. The continued use of animals and their products would always be a process that involves cruelty. By purchasing the products that the suppliers sell, you would be supporting the cruelty as they would have no incentive to change their practices. Going vegan is the moral baseline to living…[Read more]
