One day there was a bird beside a footpath, still breathing and defenseless, the bird was surrounded by a semi-circle of people, bastardly children for specifics. People were kicking the beautifully winged crow. A little girl walked by and practically stood on its wing. I barely spoke up, although outraged by this event, the crow looked at me with pleading brown eyes... I just walked away shedding tears and doing nothing. I cannot let this happen while I'm in the same room. Again. R.I.P dear crow, such beautiful feathers and gloriously perfect brown eyes.

The way that I prefer to spread awareness for animal rights is by merely setting an example to people I know about veganism and perhaps starting a heated debate about a cow in a burger.
