Imagine that you're locked inside a parked car and the windows are open only a crack. The temperature inside the car is rising up past 160 degrees. And that's not all—you're also wearing a heavy coat and you have no water.
Every year, countless dogs die from being overheated inside locked cars. On a 78-degree day, the inside of a car can reach 160 degrees in just minutes. That's faster than you can run inside the store, buy yourself a cold drink, and run out. Dogs stuck in hot cars can suffer from brain damage or heatstroke or can even die. This is why we need your help with this mission—are you ready for it?

- Print out as many copies of our "Hot Dog" leaflet as you can. If you don't have a printer, you can order the leaflets from us here.
- Place them under the windshield wipers of all the cars you see. Find a public place with lots of cars (e.g., a public parking lot or street with cars parked all along it).
- Send an e-mail to StreetTeam@peta2.com and let us know how you did. We'll give you 500 Street Team points for your work. Want more points? Take a picture of yourself placing the fliers, send it to us, and we'll give you another 500 points—that's a total of 1,000 points, everyone, so let's go!
