How’s this for a listening tip: a songwriter who’s truly intelligent, incredibly well-informed, a dab-hand at indie rock and acoustic folk-punk, melodically gifted, politically engaged and a huge supporter of animal rights to boot? Think it all sounds too good to be true? Well, think again – because in London-based singer-songwriter Chris T-T, all these things and more are wrapped up in one fantastic package.
Obviously, when we heard about Chris – and when we heard his hilariously brilliant anti-hunt masterpiece, “The Huntsman Comes A-Marchin’”, on his superb latest album, 9 Red Songs – we at peta2 couldn’t help ourselves: We just had to meet him in person – and we weren’t disappointed. Chris talked to us about his youthful days as a hunt saboteur, the moral blindness of the pro-vivisection lobby and the horror he feels when he considers the abuses people inflict on animals slaughtered for food. Want to know more? Watch the video below to meet the aural agitator everyone from The Sunday Times to the NME has been raving about.
