One thing everybody can agree on is that KFC stinks – and I should know, because unfortunately, I live right behind one! Not only is KFC's distinctive odour enough to make you wretch into your scarf (a lot), the fast-food joint also is a well-known "hang out" spot for the unsavoury types who want to steal your phone and kick your cat. As if all this weren't bad enough, what you may not know about KFC is that it's the lowest of the low when it comes to cruelty to animals.
Luckily for KFC's chickens, help is at hand! After hearing that KFC tortures chicks, some of music's most talented females were out in force to speak up for their fellow "birds". Natasha of Bat For Lashes, Laura-Mary from Blood Red Shoes, Helen from Hadouken, Tahita from New Young Pony Club, The Sounds' Maja, and The Long Blondes' ladies Kate, Reenie, and Emma all put pen to paper and signed a letter to KFC demanding that the company improve its standards.
The letter states that "we birds agree: Boycott KFC!" After all, we ladies have to stick together! Can you say "girl power"? Oh, dear … that's a shame. Click here to read the letter in full.
