This weekend I drove an ungodly number of hours from Norfolk, Virginia down to Florida for the holiday weekend. The sunshine state’s weather left me with third degree burns, but it was still a lot of fun. Along the way I leafleted outside a handful of KFC restaurants, handed out a few thousand “I’m Not a Nugget” stickers at Tony Hawk’s Boom Boom Huckjam in Atlanta, and listened to Good Clean Fun’s discography a thousand times. I’m still singing “Beat the Meat” in my head.
While in Florida I got a chance to hang out with two of the nicest Street Teamers ever, Sarah and Nathan, and to attend a Benetton protest organized by the equally friendly peta2 Leadership Program member Eliana Campos. Sign up for the Leadership Program now and maybe I’ll come protest with you and tell you a joke or something.
