One of my favorite nuts…a bit more expensive than your average nut but absolutely worth it for National Pistachio Day!

“Nut butters are a favorite food of mine. Nutritious, delicious and oh-so-filling, they can help you get through the winter, a time when you need more fat in your diet. They can be a great addition to any diet and promote your health and even weight loss! No I am not saying you cat eat a jar of nut butter and not gain weight, but eating the right kind of fats can actually help you lose weight. But I am talking raw, unheated plant-based fats. Roasted peanut butter won’t do either- which I never liked anyway since I don’t like peanuts! There, I said it: I don’t like peanuts!! I hope you still like me. :)”
500gr raw shelled pistachios*
3 tbsp almond oil
pinch of salt
