Mission: Limbani the Chimpanzee Is Trapped at a Roadside Zoo—Help Him!

Limbani the chimpanzee was taken from his mom as an infant and is used for photo ops at a roadside zoo operated by Tiger King villain and felon Mario Tabraue. 😢 No animal deserves to be exploited like this. Urge the facility to make a plan to send Limbani to an accredited sanctuary!

Limbani is one of the last chimpanzees in the U.S. kept in isolation. Tabraue’s facility—the Zoological Wildlife Foundation (ZWF) in Miami—has been cited time and time again by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for not providing primates with what they need.

ZWF has been trying to profit off Limbani by using him as an IG prop. When it’s not exploiting him for photo ops, the roadside zoo keeps him in solitary confinement. 😨 This is devastating for a chimpanzee—they’re supposed to spend their first several years learning crucial skills from their mom and then live with a large fam. But for ZWF, denying primates everything that’s natural and important to them is business as usual.

Limbani will stay lonely and miserable unless we stand up for him. An accredited sanctuary could give him the care and opportunity for socialization that he deserves—and you can help make a relocation possible while earning 15 peta2 points in our Rewards Program! 🥰 Here’s what to do:

1. Comment on one of the Limbani ZWF IG posts urging the roadside zoo to work with the North American Primate Sanctuary Alliance to make a plan to relocate Limbani to an accredited sanctuary.
