Mission: Share This Database to Help Others Shop Cruelty-Free

Ever asked yourself, “Hmmm…I wonder which eyeshadow color looked best on that bunny?” 🤔 Ofc not, yet some companies choose to test their cosmetics on animals locked in laboratories for their entire lives.

As if imprisoning animals isn’t evil enough, experimenters harm them in painful and confusing experiments. Cosmetics aren’t used on animals the way we use them: While we gently apply eyeshadow on our eyelids and glide lipstick across our mouths, animals are blinded, poisoned, or killed as experimenters restrain them and drip chemicals into their eyes or rub them onto their bare skin. 😨

Also, companies that pay for this cruelty seem to forget that, umm, humans aren’t bunnies or rats. Most products that test safe and effective on animals fail in human trials bc different species have different reactions. Testing on animals is pointless in every way. For the past three decades, PETA has worked to end cruel cosmetics tests on animals. And our work is paying off—cosmetics testing on animals has all but ended in the U.S.

By only buying from cruelty-free companies, you’ll help animals avoid having their lives destroyed for sick experiments. 💗
