A Rocket to the Moon's Ad

A Rocket to the Moon's AdThe boys of A Rocket to the Moon have been pretty busy since we first caught up with them on Warped Tour in 2009. Since then, they’ve released a new album and toured virtually nonstop in support of it. While on the road with Libby Award winners Cobra Starship and The Maine, Nick Santino and crew stopped by the PETA office for vegan pizza and an impromptu performance!

Here’s a little peta2 trivia for ya—all the dogs pictured in the PSA are companions to PETA employees. Pretty awesome, right? The rescued pups were more than happy to hang out with A Rocket to the Moon for the afternoon and smile for the camera. All the guys are huge animal lovers and were thrilled to get some love and affection from their new canine friends—all while spreading the message about how important it is to “always spay and neuter, and always adopt.”

After the photo shoot, the band was nice enough to stick around for an impromptu acoustic performance during which they played two songs off their record, On Your Side, just for peta2! Check it out!

Get a sneak peek of what went on behind the scenes of A Rocket to the Moon’s peta2 photo shoot and stay tuned for an exclusive acoustic performance!

I hate to be biased, but this is definitely one of my all-time favorite peta2 PSAs! Be sure to check out the band’s Web site to find out when they’ll be in your town. I know that these boys and their dogs are cute and all, but their ad does have a serious message. Every year, millions of animals end up at animal shelters, and many of them are euthanized because there simply aren’t enough good homes for them. Always spay or neuter your animals, and always adopt from animal shelters.
