Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy

“She’s the Queen Beast of metal!
It’s the way she sings—nobody can out-beast her.”

—Former Misfits guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein, about Alissa White-Gluz

Our metal hearts are singing—no, screaming—because Alissa White-Gluz is the new vocalist for Arch Enemy, and we couldn’t be more excited. She’s an all-star champion for animals, a sponsored artist for cruelty-free beauty company Manic Panic, a lifelong vegetarian, and a longtime vegan, and she’s never afraid to speak her mind on any animal rights issues at hand.

So we’re excited to share with you our interview with Alissa at the Ramones Museum in Berlin!

Check it out!

Because Alissa was “raised with the idea that you should always be informed on what you’re doing and what the consequences of your actions are,” she made the choice to research what happens to animals raised for meat, dairy products, and eggs and says, “I really made a conscious decision that I would absolutely minimize any amount of suffering that I would induce on any other living being.”

PETA’s mission statement says, “Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment.” Alissa’s vegan lifestyle is a true testament to our mission, and we couldn’t be more stoked to have her not only on our side but also on animals’ side, too!
