Corey Fogelmanis is basically the guy who does everything. An accomplished actor known for his hilarious role as Farkle Minkus on Girl Meets World and an amateur photographer, Corey is one busy dude. And did we mention that he speaks out about the homeless-animal overpopulation crisis? Needless to say, we’re big fans of his here at peta2. Corey took a break from filming to stop by our office with his adopted pup, Sunshine, to star in our latest “Adopt, Don’t Shop” ad. Check it out!

Corey knows that when you adopt an animal from a shelter instead of buying one from a pet store or breeder, you save a life. And when we sat down to chat, he explained that there’s more to it:

If we don’t buy animals from breeders, or puppy mills, or pet stores … there won’t be overpopulation.

More than 6 million lost, abandoned, unwanted, or otherwise homeless dogs and cats enter animal shelters across the U.S. every year. And there just aren’t enough loving homes like Corey’s for all of them. The solution? Spaying and neutering. Shelters are overflowing with animals waiting for a good home, and unfortunately, many of them will have to be euthanized. The only way to end the animal-homelessness crisis is to adopt and spay and neuter to prevent new litters from being born.

Since Corey is also an amateur photographer, he took a turn behind the camera and snapped a few photos of Sunshine and some of the adopted dogs running around the peta2 office. So much cuteness!
