A couple weeks ago, I shared my favorite DIY shampoo recipe with y’all, and this week I’ve decided to follow it up with a few fab DIY conditioner recipes—hallelujah!

While I’m all for natural DIY beauty recipes, I’ve noticed a lot of the ones online call for nasty ingredients like egg yolk and mayonnaise—Zoiks! Um yeah, I want my hair to look luxuriously smooth and sexy, but I don’t wanna puke in my mouth tryin’ to get there.

I wanted to share some of my fave vegan conditioner recipes that will leave your hair feeling amazing sans the chicken period goo and stinky, sour mayo. You’re welcome. 😉

Recipe #1

Ingredients

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil

Peel, pit, and mash your avocado. Add the coconut milk and coconut oil and mix until smooth. Work this conditioner through your hair (you can let it hang out for 10-15 minutes for deeper conditioning). Rinse and then shampoo. If you’ve never tried conditioning before shampooing, you’re in for a treat!

Recipe #2

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup of water
  • A few drops of your fave essential oil (to take the funky edge off—optional)

Mix all of the ingredients together, massage into your hair and scalp, and then rinse. Easy-peasy! Apple cider vinegar not only works as a great detangler, but it also leaves your hair soft and shiny and protects your scalp from getting dandruffy.

Recipe #3

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of agave
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice

Mix all of your ingredients together and massage your conditioner into your hair and scalp. Let the conditioner work its magic for a good 20 minutes before rinsing and shampooing. This yummy smelling treatment will leave your hair soft, manageable and fling-worthy.
