Bring Me The Horizon kicks ass onstage and off by speaking up for animals every chance they get. Never ones to shy away from stating their opinions, vocalist Oli Sykes and the rest of the hard-rocking U.K. quintet have been working alongside peta2 for years. This time around, guitarist Jona Weinhofen is at the reins, helping spread the word about the zombie invasion. If you want to save yourself, the answer is simple—go vegan! Check out Jona’s “Flesh Is for Zombies” public service announcement (PSA) and get an exclusive video download by signing the peta2 pledge to go flesh-free.
As a vegan for nearly 13 years, Jona has no problem seeing animal products for what they really are—flesh and body parts. In an interview with peta2.de Jona drove home the point that we’ve been shouting from the rooftops all summer long—only zombies eat corpses! Of his transition to veganism, Jona said, “I found for me personally the easiest way to think about things was to not actually think about the products I was boycotting as food, but for what they actually were—for instance, the flesh of an animal or the embryo of a chicken.” Makes you think, huh? Lucky for you, we’ve got plenty of mouth-watering flesh-free recipes to help you kick the habit, and you can even arm yourself with this trusty Zombie Survival Guide to help you survive the onslaught of the undead.
