Today, we lost an extraordinarily compassionate human being. Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington was found dead in a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles.

He was best known for his far-ranging musical talents and his tour de force presence on stage. Chester was also a huge supporter of animal rights and always urged others to make the compassionate choice to protect animals. He teamed up with peta2 in a powerful “Ink, Not Mink” ad against wearing fur, and he also encouraged people to adopt homeless dogs and cats.
peta2 will always remember Chester for being a fierce defender of animal rights.
“[W]e need to show our respect for all creatures of this world,” Chester said.
Rest in peace, Chester. Your compassion and talent will continue to inspire us all.
