Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell is fast on the field. During his college days, he set records for most yards rushed, and now he is on his way to becoming one of the NFL’s best runners. Aside from repping the strength, loyalty, and pride of the Steeler Nation, Le’Veon is the latest all-star to join peta2’s “Ink, Not Mink” campaign, because animals deserve better!
Millions of foxes, minks, raccoons, rabbits, chinchillas, and even cats and dogs are electrocuted, beaten, drowned, strangled, and skinned alive EVERY YEAR to make fur coats, fur-lined boots, and pieces of fur trim used on jacket hoods, scarves, and gloves. Making matters even worse, in China, the world’s largest exporter of fur, there are no penalties for abusing animals on fur farms.
The cruelty that these animals endure is heartbreaking, and when Le’Veon learned about what really happens in the fur trade, he knew that he had to step up and speak out about why he’ll always choose ink, not mink!
