Remember that time when Jordan Witzigreuter from The Ready Set came to peta2 HQ to tell us all about his adorable little dog, Backpack? And remember how he performed an acoustic version of “Give Me Your Hand” just for y’all? Remember how awesome that all was? Yet something was missing. What was it …

Was it quite possibly the cutest print public service announcement (PSA) ever?! A PSA that you’ll be so excited to print out and show off all over your binder, locker, room, and pretty much everywhere?! Well, happy New Year, friends. We present to you Jordan and Backpack:

Adopt, Don't Shop with The Ready Set and Backpack!

Pledge to Adopt, Don’s Shop!

Every year, 6 to 8 million dogs and cats enter U.S. animal shelters and half of them are euthanized because they’re not adopted into loving homes. Jordan gave Backpack a second chance at life by adopting him, and since then, they’ve been inseparable best friends!

Find out more about Backpack’s life in our behind-the-scenes video with Jordan:

If you’re thinking about bringing an animal companion into your life, always remember to ADOPT, and please, DON’T SHOP for a dog or cat at a pet store or breeder. There are already so many animals looking for loving homes at animal shelters, and buying an animal from a pet store or breeder takes a life away from those waiting in shelters. Make sure you have the time and resources to care for a new companion, and always adopt!

Pledge to End Animal Homelessness!

Fill out the form below and pledge always to adopt your animal companions and to have them spayed or neutered. Together, we can help end animal homelessness!
