We first met up with Rocsi Diaz when she had a hosting gig on 106 & Park—we got to spend the day on the beach with her and her little dog, Chi Chi, to promote animal adoption. Rocsi and peta2 began a beautiful friendship that day, and we’ve been jonesin’ to work together ever since! - A vegan diet is good for your health. There is no nutritional need for humans to eat any animal product. All our dietary needs, even as infants and children, are best supplied by a meatless diet. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics notes that a vegetarian diet reduces the risk of developing many chronic degenerative diseases and conditions, including heart disease, cancer, obesity, hypertension, and diabetes.
These factory farms are creating unhealthy animals for you to even eat.
- A vegan diet is good for the planet. According to the United Nations, raising animals for food is “one of the top two or three most significant contributors to the most serious environmental problems, at every scale from local to global.”
