Would you ever eat the lining of someone’s stomach? If you still eat cheese, chances are you’re regularly eating a product derived from the stomach lining of baby animals. If it sounds gross, it’s because it IS gross!

Let’s chat about “rennet.”

WTF is rennet? It’s an enzyme often obtained from the inner lining of the stomachs of baby animals.

Why is it in cheese? Rennet is used to curdle (eww!) cheese to make it more solid.

Conclusion: Most cheese is not vegetarian because a baby had to die for it.
