Grilled Tofu Sandwich

Ingredients
  • 2 slices bread
  • 1/2 block tofu
  • 3 leaves fresh basil
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 2 Tbsp. nutritional yeast
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. vegan salad dressing
Instructions
  1. First, drain and cut your tofu. You can grill it in a few ways—on an outside grill, on a tabletop grill (how I did it!) or you can just fry it up on the stove.
  2. Before doing that, though—lay your slices out on a plate and pour the soy sauce over them. Throw your paprika, nutritional yeast, and salt and pepper (optional) on them and give them a few flips to distribute the spices. Now you're ready to grill!
  3. Throw the slices on the grill and let them get firm and crispy—this may take about 20 minutes, but it's well worth the wait!
  4. Once your tofu is done, put the slices onto a slice of bread and top with your basil and tomato. Drizzle your dressing over the tomato and top with the other piece of bread. Voila!
