Dude. Don’t sleep on Ben & Jerry’s. It seems like every day, the company is adding more and more vegan desserts to its menu. Vegan ice cream is taking over everywhere, though. That’s because people are woke now: Not only is cow’s milk bad for human health, it’s also terrible for the cows who are used in its production.
You probably know that the company sells pints of its nondairy ice cream in some grocery stores and scoops of it in select shops across the U.S. But as the demand for vegan treats grows, Ben & Jerry’s continues to make our wildest childhood dreams come true in rad new ways. Keep reading for the full scoop.
Ice Cream Cakes
Talk about nostalgia! Vegan ice cream cakes are available at participating Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops. Right now, the dairy-free flavors include Caramel Almond Brittle and Coconut Almond Fudge Chip. Um, yes, please! The middle and bottom parts of the cake are made with whatever vegan ingredients you want, such as delicious chocolate sandwich cookie crumbles. Choose wisely so you can create your ultimate dessert OTP.
Vegan frosting covers the cake and holds all the goodness together. Some shops don’t carry it, though, so be sure to ask before you order.
We can’t tell you how often we crave vegan milkshakes. Well, Ben and Jerry are coming through for us! When ordering, ask for almond milk and then choose a vegan ice cream flavor—and voilà, your cravings will be satisfied. If your local shop doesn’t offer almond milk, ask—politely—that it start doing so.
Hungry yet? Head on over to your local Ben & Jerry’s scoop shop and order a vegan ice cream cake AND a milkshake—because YOLO, amiright?
