Even though there are no laws in the United States requiring that cosmetics be tested on animals and even though more effective testing methods exist, some companies continue to lock animals in cages and poison, blind, and even kill them to create cosmetics. But animals don’t have to suffer for your makeup! It’s easier than ever to find products that weren’t tested on animals when you’re shopping.Check out some of our favorite animal-friendly beauty brands that you can find at Walmart:
e.l.f.’s Studio’s makeup line is all-vegan, and e.l.f. makes other vegan products as well. This brand is easy to find at Walmart and Target, and even select 7-Eleven locations carry it! It’s also a good choice for those who are on a budget.
Whenever I wear Physicians Formula eye shadow, I get lots of compliments.

10. Burt’s Bees
Burt’s Bees was started in 1984 with the philosophy of supplying only nature’s best ingredients for your body. When I went vegan as a teenager, it carried some of the only vegan-friendly products I could find in my small town. Since then, I’m happy to say that many brands have followed suit! Just make sure that you check the ingredients before you buy, as not all of its products are completely vegan.
11. Tom’s of Maine
I love Tom’s of Maine toothpaste, deodorant, and mouthwash, which make my morning routine super-simple. When in doubt, search our cruelty-free database to find out which companies don’t test on animals or ask us if you aren’t sure about a company.
