I love waking up with fresh, glowing skin—so I created the perfect easy-to-follow DIY skin-care routine to get that morning glow.

These all-natural products are bomb for your skin—but you’ll really be glowing because you’ll know that no animals suffered or died for your beauty routine. Every year, millions of bunnies, rats, mice, and other animals are used in cruel experiments for beauty and household products. Experimenters rub chemicals onto their shaved or scraped skin, drip them into their eyes, or force animals to ingest them—and animals are typically killed once the experiments are over.

Tell Gillette to stop testing on animals!

But luckily, it’s easy to whip up your own cruelty-free beauty products at home—with stuff you probably already have lying around your kitchen!

Follow these four steps before bed, in the morning, or ANY time for fresh, glowing skin.

Step 1: Sugary Lemon Scrub

Mix 2 tablespoons of fresh-squeezed lemon juice with 4 tablespoons of sugar (which acts as an exfoliator). Gently massage the mixture over your face, then rinse.

Step 2: Mushy Avocado Mask

Mash up a ripe avocado and apply it to your face like a facemask. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse.

Step 3: ACV Toner

Use a cotton ball to apply a small amount of apple cider vinegar (which acts as a toner) all over your face, and let it dry.

Step 4: Coconut Oil Moisturizer

Finally, apply coconut oil (which acts as a moisturizer) to your face. It’s magic, for real.

Voilà! You’re done. Waking up with bright, glowing skin is easier than ever.

If you’re not into the DIY thing, don’t worry! Tons of skin-care companies like Lush, Yes To, The Body Shop, and Shea Moisture are woke and use non-animal testing methods. Check out our database to find out which companies do and do not test on animals.
