You may think you have no business going into a deli if you’re vegan. Delicatessens—by definition—sell meats and cheeses, and there’s the very real risk of someone’s foot-tall pastrami sandwich making eye contact with you. Look away! But at Jason’s Deli, you may find it even more challenging to avoid all the VEGAN OPTIONS.

The menu even has a whole vegetarian section. Thing is, vegetarian lifestyles allow for dairy “products” and eggs, which we know cause the animals we care about horrible suffering and painful deaths. So what did we do? We veganized the vegetarian menu! Dun dunna nahhh!

Clear your throat and get ready to request no cheese, butter, or sour cream (aka “the nasty, artery-clogging glop”) on your food, because that’s pretty much all you gotta do to eat well at Jason’s Deli.

First, let’s talk about its ? salad bar:

Veggies and Toppings

  • Mixed salad greens, organic field greens, organic spinach
  • Grape tomatoes, broccoli, mushrooms, organic baby carrots
  • Red and yellow bell pepper strips

  • Extra virgin olive oil (bottle)
  • Light raspberry cabernet vinaigrette (bottle)
  • Organic balsamic vinegar (bottle)
  • Red wine vinegar (bottle)

Hmm … you look like you want more salad options. Here ya go:

  • Black Bean Taco Salad (request no cheddar, sour cream, or bean-and-corn mix, which contains dairy)
    Lettuce and organic blue corn chips, garnished with guacamole, pico de gallo, and Southwest spices, with salsa on the side
  • Chicken Club Salad (Request no chicken, bacon, cheddar, or asiago.)
    Grape tomatoes and sliced avocado on mixed salad greens
  • Nutty Mixed-Up Salad (Request no chicken or feta.)
    Organic field greens, grapes, nuts, dried cranberries, raisins, pumpkin seeds, and organic apples

Now, let’s get into the meat and potatoes of the menu:

  • Lean Green Sweet Potato (Request no asiago.)
    Baked sweet potato stuffed with organic spinach and fresh-cracked black pepper

  • Papa Verde Sweet Potato (Request no turkey, butter, ranch, or asiago.)
