Mmm, caffeine and sugar … just thinking about that pair gets me all hopped-up. Except not—I need to drink it. That’s why I go to Starbucks, where vegan fall-flavored beverages are like pumpkins—they’re everywhere.

And now, let’s embark on our journey through the land of festive fall flavors, where everything is as sweet and nice as sugar and spice at a relatively fair price.

What Else?

Lots of other drinks can be veganized at Starbucks. Here are just some basic rules for ordering that will protect you from drinking something inappropriate, like a cow’s breast milk or something.

First, remember to order your drinks with almond, coconut, or soy milk. All stores carry these alternatives, and one can replace dairy milk for just a nominal fee.

Second, avoid these ingredients at all times. Even if they come in the drink you want—just say no to them. You can still get the drink you want minus this tiny ingredient:

  • Caramel drizzle
  • Caramel sauce
  • Cinnamon Dolce Topping (Get Autumn Sugar Topping instead)
  • Frappuccino chips (Get chocolate curls instead)
  • Maple Pecan Sauce (Get maple syrup instead)
  • Whipped cream

A few drinks, no matter how hard you try, cannot be veganized because of the dairy “products” in the syrup ingredients. Never order these:

  • Any light Frappuccinos
  • Pumpkin spice
  • White mocha

Be creative and make up your own thing! It’s easy to create delicious vegan seasonal masterpieces at Starbucks—which is all we want! That and animal liberation … but this gets us one step closer, ja?

As you know, vegans can do anything—and that includes drinking fancy, whimsical beverages at a major coffeehouse chain!
