Ostriches’ Throats Slit: Lady Gaga LIED TO About Feathers

Once you watch this video, you’ll never look at a feather boa the same way again.

This new PETA Asia footage from the ostrich feather industry is jaw-dropping. The ostriches kick. They thrash. They can’t escape. An investigator saw blood on the feathers workers had just torn out—and Lady Gaga is reportedly tied to this! 😧 A worker at one farm and slaughterhouse told an investigator they supplied her with feathers.

Like many shoppers, Lady Gaga was told a story about where these feathers came from—that they just fell off the birds—which does not match what PETA Asia documented, with workers ripping feathers from live birds and fresh blood found on feathers.

It’s time for brands like Dior to ban ostrich feathers and skins NOW!

An industry representative said that juvenile ostriches are plucked for feathers starting at around six months old. At this farm, birds stood with broken, filthy, frayed feathers. Two had lumps the size of a tennis ball on their necks.

One farmer from the investigation said that Hermès, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, and Prada all buy feathers from the producer supplied by these farms.

Another linked supplier’s own website names Gucci, Prada, Hermès, and Louis Vuitton as buyers of ostrich skin.

Ostriches are curious, social birds who can recognize other ostriches and humans, travel in groups, and protect their babies. Like dogs, cats, and humans, they feel pain and fear. They can live for decades—but the birds from the investigation die at just 12 months old.
