Join peta2 as an Advanced Intern!

This advanced internship program is open to folks who are looking for a unique, remote internship helping animals. These are paid, part-time, temporary positions at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)—the world’s largest animal rights organization—where you can work to make the world a kinder place for animals by inspiring other young people to speak out against injustice.

Our advanced interns will work on personalized campaigns to make impactful changes for animals, organize protests, help create content for peta2’s social media accounts, and get many other work opportunities that can help boost a résumé.

Our internship will be re-opening for the fall semester this summer so be sure to check back then!

I’d recommend this internship to anyone who wants to make a real impact for animals while working on meaningful projects that reach people. I’ve always known that I’m trusted and supported by a passionate, welcoming team that genuinely cares about helping animals and empowering young activists. Through this internship, I’ve strengthened my advocacy, communication, and project management skills while gaining hands-on experience in research, outreach, and content creation. Most importantly, I’ve become more confident and effective as an animal advocate. I’d recommend this internship to animal advocates who want to learn new skills in outreach, media, and legislation. For instance, I always wanted to push for legal change on issues like declawing, but was nervous after struggling to learn how to take on such an endeavor. With peta2’s team, support, and guidance, I have started reaching out to Senators and building community support to ban declawing in Florida. Uniting the community for a common goal of speaking up for other animals’ rights has been powerful and inspiring. Also, learning skills for social media outreach and completing media training has strengthened my activism. The peta2 internship is truly life-changing! —Nadia
