Tanner Smith
Tanner is a political science and psychology student in Ohio. He first became interested in animal liberation during high school after watching college lectures on YouTube. He went vegan during his junior year and began promoting vegan living online through posts, livestreams, and conversations with peers. Tanner started college as a zoology and political science major, wanting to intertwine the two. But he quit zoology after his small-town college biology professor refused to let him skip dissection days and labs that would involve exploiting animals. He switched to psychology, then discovered that his school also had a rat laboratory, so he protested and transferred. That solidified his activism, and it has grown ever since. Tanner joined peta2 and is looking to expand his outreach. Outside of that, he enjoys herpetology, photography, cartography, cooking, outdoor exploration, movies, exploring vegan philosophy, and most forms of exercise. And he especially loves to hear other vegans’ opinions and stories!)
