The fur, leather, wool, angora, feathers, and cashmere industries force animals to live and die in misery. Minks, foxes, and rabbits are killed by electrocution, gassing, or getting their necks snapped for their fur. Cows are kept in extremely crowded conditions and skinned—sometimes while still conscious—to make leather. Sheep and goats are punched, kicked, and mutilated for their wool and cashmere and sent to slaughter when they’re no longer seen as productive. And birds are electrically stunned and have their throats slit for their feathers. 😰

There’s no excuse for this cruelty. We can always find stunning clothing made from vegan materials like organic cotton, hemp, or polyester, which are usually more budget-friendly and eco-friendly than anything from an animal.
