Are You Against the Seal Slaughter? Show It!

Since the beginning of 2012, more than 70,000 seals have been killed in the Canadian seal slaughter. These babies—many of whom were only weeks old—were shot or had their skulls smashed in. To avoid damaging the fur, sealers routinely hook the seals in the eye, cheek, or mouth and drag them across the ice, sometimes while they are still conscious.

Let’s stop the slaughter this year—once and for all. Spread the word, and ask your friends to support the end of the massacre. Here’s how:

  • Click on the sign above that you want to print and fill out your name, if necessary.
  • Take your sign to school, gather your friends, and snap a photo with the sign.
  • Post your photo on Facebook so that all your friends online can see it, and submit a screenshot for points.

Remember: Seals need YOUR voice. Be sure to share your photo on Facebook, and ask all your friends to take action. Print out our seal slaughter leaflets here.
